About us

 A bit about us
We have been at Hoemoor farm for 23 years, we live here with our son Martin (carpenter) and daughter Cathrine  (teaching assistant at a special needs school) and the bungalow was refurbished for holidays 19 years ago. We have been doing self catering holidays ever since. We are constantly upgrading things, a room a year is decorated and a new kitchen and bathroom have recently been fitted. This year it is the outside of the bungalows turn in the winter it will be rendered and painted again with new windows going to be fitted, Martin is a carpenter so hopefully cheap labour.
To get to the bungalow you pass our house so we are always on hand if you get any problems or there is anything you need.Hope fully you will find everything you want in the bungalow but you never know.
What ever the weather we will do our  best to make your stay at Hoemoor an enjoyable time, however long the stay from 3 nights to a month the same hospitality applies.

On a cold winters evening curl up in front of a real log fire (logs supplied) whilst watching a DVD or listening to a CD, radio. The bungalow also has full oil central heating so you shouldn’t be cold even when you can see the snow on the hills all around you.
In the summer open the door and have a barbecue on the patio, with table and chairs, while admiring the lovely views of the Otter Valley and the variety of wildlife. You can see deer, foxes, buzzards, sparrow hawks and plenty more. There is a garden around the bungalow and a small gate leads off this to allow you to wander over the fields, when there aren’t cattle in them as the bull might object to this. You could also walk down to the river and do a bit of fishing or just watch the Kingfishers, Herons and Egrets. Children might also like to play in the shallow water.

Children are welcome to play in our garden on the swings or trampoline where there are also rabbits and guinea pigs running around. There is a games room with pool table (with table tennis to cover), darts, and small toys. The games room is in the car park (for 1 car,2 by arrangement), which leads up to the bungalow via 4 steps.
